History and Mission

El Paso TNR is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 2019.

We’re a volunteer-driven organization focused on Trap-Neuter-Return in the El Paso region.

Our mission is to reduce the free-roaming cat population through advocacy, education, data-analytics, and community action.

Who is Paco?

Paco is our ear-tipped friend that represents and educates the community on TNR. His name is short for Francisco: a nod to Saint Francis of Assisi, the patron saint of animals. The Latin name Franciscus means "free" or "free man." For this free-roaming street cat repping EP community gatos, we couldn’t have thought of a better name!
