El Paso TNR is a volunteer-led nonprofit focused on Trap-Neuter-Return — and the community support systems that make it possible.
Here’s what we DO:
- Trap community cats in partnership with volunteers and caregivers
- Coordinate surgeries and vaccines through trusted local vets
- Return cats to the same place they were found
- Educate neighbors about outdoor cats, deterrents, and coexistence
- Support people who care for colonies or need help getting started
- Provide resources and supplies to TNR
- Collect data and monitor the community cat population
We don’t have a shelter. We’re not animal control.
We’re just your neighbors — working to fix the real problem.

We understand how easy it is to assume all animal welfare may work the same way.
But El Paso TNR isn’t a shelter or a rescue.

Here's what we DON'T DO:
- Take in cats or kittens
- Offer adoption services
- Cover emergency medial expenses
- Remove cats from properties
- Trap without surgery confirmation
- Operate 24/7
We wish we could do more — but our focus helps us save more cats long term.
If you need services outside our scope, we’ll do our best to point you in the right direction.
