You don’t need to just trap cats to help cats.
Here are some of the roles we rely on:
Trapper
Trappers are on the front line getting personal with cats! These volunteers work closely to trap cats in target areas.

Transporter
Transporters get cats to & from the clinic safely, while making sure they are returned to the exact location they call home.

- Cover car seats w/ plastic & potty pads when transporting
- Transport from shelter or clinic as needed
- Identify additional free-roaming cats at return site(s) that are not ear-tipped & provide information to Coordinator.

Caregiver
Cat-room caregivers are the cool, calm, collected volunteers that monitor & tend to trapped cats pre & post surgery.

- Reserve space in home for holding (climate controlled, not accessible to animals or children)
- Coordinate w/ others on # of cats,
time of drop-off, pick-up.
- Daily care: feed cats, change potty pads, &
clean traps.
- Report changes in cat’s behavior or health

Canvasser
Canvassers help locate & educate people in the community to get involved with TNR.
Responsibilities |
- Educate community members on the TNR process
- Provide educational materials when needed
- Gather helpful information on feeders (colony managers) and their colonies
- Find out if they are interested in being involved

Maintenance
Every job needs maintenance to ensure all supplies are ready for more TNR.
Responsibilities |
- Traps must be sprayed with disinfectant, hosed clean, & dried between every TNR job
- Laundry (towels, sheets, etc.)
- Latches & springs are checked for working order
- EPTNR permanent label kept in good condition

Supporter
Supporters advocate for the cause. They shares resources, donate, or attend events to educate others on TNR.
Every role counts. There’s no such thing as a small contribution here.
